WELCOME TO DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION
The Department of Education has been established along with establishment of the college in the year 1981 at Intermediate level, affiliated to Utkal University. After a couple of years Degree classes were opened in the year 1988 with Pass subject. Honours was opened in the year 1994 with 16 seats and further increased to 32 seats in 2015-16. Now the college is affiliated to Rama Devi Women’s University from the session-2015-16. At present the subject is available as Honours, Pass and Elective to the students. The creams of the college are interested to study this subject to be good teachers and for other jobs. Each year the college topper award and other Trophies winners are the products of this Department. The first Minor Research Project of the institution was received by the department and the first University Grants Commission (UGC) Sponsored conference was organised in this department. Two National Seminars have organised in the session 2016-17 out of which one is UGC Sponsored and other is in collaboration with TEEKA Foundation, Bhubaneswar. This Department is the subscriber of various journals like University News, AIAER, Environment Bulletin (Israel). Journal of Indian Education (NCERT)
Relevance.
The purpose of education is to secure for every one the conditions under which Individuality is most completely developed .Education may include all learning processing .Education is an ever developing concept. It is regarded as a vital Free behind national development. Since the dawn of civilization, man , directly of indirectly has been trying to “educate” himself in order to meet with the changing demands of life. During the course of time education became an essential virtue for man to line and lead a Civilized life. True it in that man becomes MAN through the forecess of education .Education fashion and moduls man to become fit for society Education is an impartial human activity. It was born with the birth of the human race and shall continual to function n as long as the human race lives.

The department of education is a part of faculty of Arts, Originated in 1988-89 in Prajamandala Mahila Mahavidyalaya Nayagarh District ,Odisha ( Hons. from 1995-96 )
